About: deepPiXEL, a pioneer in cognitive AI technology, is unlocking “The new world of work”, deepPiXEL helps you to automate your customer support conversations through chat bots that learn from the conversations between your agents and your customers. At its core, we have built our technology from scratch, which gives us more control over how the technology works. It also makes fixing bugs and debugging problems much easier. Our technology allows the company to collect data on customer interaction and use that data to retarget advertising, and if the system is unsure of the answer to a question, it is able to pass the question to a customer service agent. We want to provide fast and accurate automated responses to your customers’ questions while lowering the number of support tickets and the cost of running the support team. deepPiXEL integrates with existing helpdesk solutions like Beam, Skype, Twilio, Intercom, Zendesk, Salesforce Desk and others, as well as social media such as Facebook and Twitter, texting, web forms, email and phone applications.

Mednovation Health Technologies (MHT) is an Ontario Centers of Excellence funded Health technology start-up that aims to disrupt the healthcare industry through health-technology innovation. MHT's goal is to utilize machine learning/artificial intelligence to improve the quality of care that patients receive. MHT is supported by the Department of Computer Science Innovation Lab (DCSIL).
Our current focus is to use AI to improve diagnostic accuracy for dermatological conditions seen in primary care. Our current project that requires combining clinical and patient information with image recognition to develop an algorithm that doctors can use to diagnose skin conditions. Using deep learning, we aim to iteratively improve the algorithm and achieve a high level of accuracy that will allow non-dermatologists to accurate diagnose commonly seen skin conditions. The final product will be a mobile application that would enable physicians to enter clinical data points for their patient along with pictures of the skin condition to get a probable diagnosis.

High through-put phenotypic screens are revolutionizing cell biology research and drug discovery. We have developed state-of-the-art deep learning based algorithms for analyzing cell and tissue phenotypes in microscopy data. Our algorithms automatically adapt to the images being analyzed, relieving the current bottleneck of engineering analysis pipelines for each new experiment. These algorithms outperform previous approaches, enabling rapid and accurate profiling of single cells in microscopy images.

Inside the operating room, video cameras track every movement. Outside, a small computer-like device analyzes the recordings, identifying when mistakes are made and providing instant feedback to surgeons as they operate. This is the dream of the surgical "black box." Operations could become flawless. Post-operative complications could be significantly reduced. Surgeons could review the footage to improve their technique and prep for the next big case.

Intrideo is hiring redefined. Intrideo is a market-disruptive technology application company that solves the inefficiencies associated with traditional resumes: we focus on the applicants, so you can focus on the best candidates! At Intrideo, we offer an efficient re-imagining of the applicant funnel: now applicants can apply confidently in less time and employers can focus resources on the best candidates. Intrideo allows job seekers to supplement their resume with a 20-second introductory video, allowing prospective employers to pre-screen candidates based on their hard and soft skill sets before committing time to an interview. With a background in launching start-up companies, the founders have a proven track record of success and are ready to revolutionize the market with this new and exciting software.

The Industry Problem: The traditional recruiting routine is broken. The current hiring process consists of posting a job, waiting for applicant resumes, vetting through countless identical resumes, and finally interviewing a handful of candidates who may or may not be the best fit for the position - this process is tedious, costly, and rooted in the past. For entry level, high turnover jobs (hostess, pizza delivery driver, cashier, etc) the only way for employers to evaluate the necessary soft skills for the job is to conduct a time-consuming interview. The Intrideo Solution: Intrideo allows employers to post jobs directly on the Intrideo mobile app, enabling job seekers to simply scroll through available jobs and apply via a 20-second introductory video. Employers can then view all the introductory videos and easily select candidates to bring in for a formal interview. This solution is efficient and time-saving, allowing employers to evaluate a candidate’s hard and soft skills before committing valuable time and resources to a potentially fruitless interview.
